As a restaurant marketing consultant and fractional CMO, I get asked a lot of “how to” questions about restaurant marketing. Here are some of the most common ones, along with answers I believe will help you.
What’s the best day to send email?
- Try Wednesday or Thursday, but the real answer is to test it.
What’s the best time of day to send email?
- Late morning (10–12) or late afternoon (3–5). Again, test it.
What’s the best way to increase loyalty signups?
- Ask at the point of purchase. It is the easiest win most restaurants ignore.
What’s the best way to acquire new guests?
- Google Search Ads. When people are searching “burgers near me” or “pizza delivery,” you need to be the answer.
How do I get a guest to make a 3rd purchase?
- Incentivize it. Use rewards or habit-building promotions to make the behavior stick.
How often should I post on social?
- As often as you can consistently. Use reels, carousels, and stories on opposite days. Always use stickers.
