Where are you at on your AI journey?
At any given point, I have at least two tabs open between ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. I’m also using a bunch of native AI tools inside the software we use to market our restaurants.
And yet, I still kinda feel behind. I’m told this is normal.
When that happens, I ask people who are way better at using this stuff than I am how they’re actually using it.
One of those people is Matt Smolin , CEO of Hang.
Not only has Matt built a really powerful AI tool that can analyze guest purchase behavior and automate personalized 1:1 offers to restaurant guests, but he’s also just really, really good at using LLMs. What a Jedi can do with a lightsaber is basically Matt with chat prompts.
That's not Matt. That's Obi-Rev.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned about using an AI chat tool is this: the right prompt gets the right answer.
The wrong prompt? Well, you’ve probably experienced that.
Matt recently put together a bunch of his secrets, including prompts you can use to help personalize guest messaging, offers, and send times. Then he asked me to co-host a webinar with him:
In the webinar, we break down how restaurant brands are using AI to move beyond broad segments, create more relevant guest offers, and test personalization without rebuilding their tech stack.
We even dive into some real examples, including the playbook I’m putting together for Salad House. Plus, you get a personalization prompt you can drop right into ChatGPT or Claude.
It’s a banger.
More than 100 brands signed up for the live broadcast and got to ask their questions. Check it all out on the replay!
Get all up on that.
Big thanks to Cherryh Cansler, Trevor Blank , Dave Wurm , and the crew from Connect Media for having us!
